Frequently Asked Questions
Booking, payment, weather, accessibility, private tours… Here are the answers to the questions I'm asked most often. Can't find yours? Drop me a line — I'll get back to you quickly.
Very simple: on the home page, pick a tour and click the "🗓 Book" button. Choose a date and time among the available slots, fill in your details and the number of participants.
You will receive an automatic confirmation email, and I will personally get back to you within 48 hours to finalise your booking.
I accept several payment methods:
Payment is made directly on the day of the tour, at the meeting point.
Of course! As long as you let me know at least 24 hours in advance, cancellation or changes are free of charge. After that, the tour remains payable, except in cases of force majeure (illness, accident, etc.).
To cancel or reschedule, email me at cam.massion@gmail.com or call me directly on +33 6 28 04 49 74.
I recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially during high season (April to October) and for the boat tour (very limited seats).
That said, feel free to contact me even at the last minute: if I'm available, I'm happy to make it work.
Each tour has its own starting point, clearly indicated on each tour card (e.g. Saint-Pierre Gate, Talensac Market, Île de Versailles Commandery, Bouffay Square…).
I'll send you the exact address with a Google Maps link in the confirmation email, and I'll be waiting on site 10 minutes before the start time. I wear an "À pas d'éléphant" cap — you'll easily spot me.
In Nantes, we learn to live with the weather! Walking tours go ahead in light rain — just bring an umbrella or a raincoat.
In case of heavy weather (storm, gale, snow), I will offer to reschedule at a date that suits you, free of charge. For the boat tour, rescheduling is systematic in windy or rainy conditions, for your safety and comfort.
It depends on the type of tour:
I always favour small groups, so the walk stays friendly and I can answer all your questions.
Tour durations vary:
I adapt to the group's pace: if you want to take your time or extend a little, that's absolutely possible.
Yes, the bike is not provided. You need to bring your own bike (or a rented one).
In Nantes, you can easily rent a bike via Bicloo (the city's bike-sharing service) or from private rental shops (Détours de Loire, Roue Libre…). Helmet recommended!
The full price applies by default to any adult. The reduced price applies on presentation of valid proof to:
Children under 6 accompanied are free of charge.
Yes! From 8 people, I offer a group rate on request, generally more advantageous than the individual rate.

No. The tour price covers only my guiding service (commentary, storytelling, escort).
For tours that pass paid sites (Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, Machines de l'Île, etc.), entry tickets are at your expense if you wish to go inside. Most of my tours take place outdoors, so no additional cost.
Exception: the Foodie Walk includes several tastings at partner artisans.
Most of my walking tours follow flat and accessible routes (Île de Nantes, Graslin Quarter, Foodie Walk). The medieval centre (Old Nantes) has some cobblestones and small slopes, but remains feasible with an adapted wheelchair or walking aids.
The bike tour obviously requires good physical condition. The boat tour requires being able to board a small craft.
Don't hesitate to contact me in advance so I can adapt the route to your needs. I can also offer a custom tour with less walking.
Absolutely! I offer private tailor-made tours for:
I can adapt the route, duration and theme (wine, street art, food, architecture…) and offer a group rate. Email me with your project: cam.massion@gmail.com
Yes! Kids are very welcome on all my walking tours. I adapt my anecdotes and pace to the group: elephant stories, Nantes legends, observation games…
For very young children (with a pram), prefer Île de Nantes or Graslin Quarter, which are flat and wide.
Children under 6 are free; those aged 6 to 17 get the reduced rate.
Yes! I offer a specific English-speaking tour: "Old Nantes in English" — perfect for English-speaking visitors who want to discover the historic heart of Nantes in their language.
All my other tours can also be given in English on request. You're already on the English version of the site — you can switch to the French version if needed.
What a lovely idea! I offer gift vouchers for all my tours — an original gift for a birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day, a wedding, or simply to please someone who loves Nantes.
Contact me directly at cam.massion@gmail.com, specifying the desired tour and the recipient's name: I'll send you a personalised PDF gift voucher, valid for 1 year.
